We’d like to feature a most prolific composer and arranger this month, Darhon Rees-Rohrbacher of Dragonflower Music.
First, let’s start with a helpful hint from Dar:
Now – a listing of her music for harp:
Christmas and Winter
Classical & Romantic
The Restaurant Book, Romantic – romantic melodies arranged for background gigs or performance. Download Version available soon.
Duos and Ensembles
Terpsichore in Tandem – the awesome newest book! Download version available soon.
The Entertainer – for pedal or lever. Not yet available as a download.
Yankee-Dixie-Johnnie – very nice ensemble, fun to play. Good interludes and harmonies. Very entertaining and would be great for recitals or a program at senior centers. Below are 2 excerpts recorded a looong time ago! This selection is on sale during July – 20% off. Harp camp and festival directors, contact us for more discounts. We’d like a Youtube of the piece in its entirety – we’ll send you complimentary music if your ensemble is willing to provide a YouTube for us!
Come, Ye Sons of Art – a really nice processional, not too hard. Download version not available. This title also on sale throughout July. You can play just the theme, repeat it, or choose whichever variation you want to add. It’s a pick and choose kind of thing. Lovely melody, stately and pretty.
Concerto in Bb (Handel) for small harp. Download version not available.
Dance Suite in F (original music in baroque style) Download version not yet available.
Good Morning to You – solo that sounds like Happy Birthday. Download version not available.

Lastly, another helpful hint from Rees-Rohrbacher:
We have just updated most of our blog site – (you know, the one that was lost in transition from old web site to new….). It is a WordPress site at www.melodystraditionalmusic.com.
Thought you might be interested in reading some of the articles posted – they’re informative and helpful.
SKYPE lessons: With the web site behaving most of the time, Mary Radspinner has time available for teaching and is accepting students for SKYPE lessons. To learn more about Mary, co-owner of Melody’s Traditional Music, see www.heartfelt-harp.net. E-mail to schedule.
Have a great week!
